WILMINGTON, NC - (WECT) - Saturday, Whole Foods stores across the world attempted to break a Guinness World Record by cracking the highest number of Parmigiano Reggiano wheels at the same time.
The Whole Foods Market on Oleander joined in on the effort. About a dozen people in the store lined up to watch.
Whole Foods set the record in 2008, however, that record was broken and now stands at 378.
According to Whole Foods Market the method used to crack the cheese is a centuries-old art involving 5 different types of knives.
