A semi-trailer truck carrying 21.3 tons of river rock blocked traffic on Carolina Beach Road Friday afternoon.NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A semi-trailer truck carrying 21.3 tons of river rock blocked traffic on Carolina Beach Road near Ashley High School Friday afternoon.
The truck blocked both lanes of Carolina Beach Road heading toward the beach and one lane heading towards Wilmington.
The driver of the truck said he's been driving for ten years and has never had this happen before.
Drivers in the area should expect delays until a tow truck arrives to move the semi.
No charges will be filed against the driver.
