Desmond Bryant reportedly on Browns radar

Posted: Updated:

According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Cleveland Browns will pursue East Bladen product Desmond Bryant when free agents are able to begin negotiating on Saturday.

The Browns will pursue two of the biggest-name pass-rushers in free agency in Baltimore's Paul Kruger and Detroit's Cliff Avril, league sources told The Plain Dealer.

They're also likely to go after Raiders defensive tackle Desmond Bryant and Cardinals linebacker Quentin Groves, sources said.

The Browns ranked 11th in the NFL in sacks during the 2012 season.  The addition of Bryant could help defensive coordinator Ray Horton's 3-4 scheme.

Bryant was originally signed by the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Harvard.
