WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Colder air will chase the very windy conditions we will see throughout the day today. High temperatures will struggle into the 50s with a Wind Advisory in effect throughout the afternoon. Look for those winds, at times, to gust up over 40 mph. All of the coastal waters in eastern North Carolina will be under a Gale warning as well – marine pleasure travel is not recommended for the remainder of the day.
Calmer and warmer conditions will progress as we move into the end of the week. Look for highs to return to the mid 60s by he weekend with mostly sunny skies.
