NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - A local high school is cashing in on a famous alumnus.
Nike is launching a new Michael Jordan vintage sportswear line.
At its meeting Tuesday night, school district leaders approved a plan that allows Nike to use the school's logo for the clothes.
In return, the school will get 5% of all sales from the clothes.
The line is said to be in celebration of MJ's 50th birthday.
Jordan graduated from Laney in 1981.
