WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Showers will creep into the forecast with rain chances picking up throughout the day. A round of showers is possible this afternoon as a disturbance aloft brings enough support for a round of light shows this afternoon.
The main show, so to speak, holds off until after midnight. Heavier precipitation and perhaps a rumble of thunder are possible as a cold front drives through the region. Rain totals wont amount to much with lucky locations cashing in on a quarter of an inch (.25") or so. High temperatures will pull back from the 60s on Tuesday to the 50s for Wednesday and Thursday with cooler air in place.
As we move toward the weekend it's mainly just a temperature forecast. Highs will gradually be moving up into the mid 60s for the middle of next week.
