North Canton Police have made arrests in two separate hit-skip crashes. There were injuries in both accidents.
On Friday at about 6:30 p.m. one vehicle struck another at East Maple and Marquardt, injuring the occupants. The driver that caused the accident left the scene on foot.
On Saturday police located the driver, 50-year-old James Houston of Barberton and charged him with assured clear distance, driving under suspension, and leaving the scene of a crash.
On Saturday at 9:10 p.m. one vehicle struck another in the 100 block of North Main Street, injuring the occupants. The driver that caused that accident fled the scene.
Police located and impounded the vehicle, and arrested the driver, 47-year-old Tony Hill of North Canton, at his residence. Hill is charged with assured clear distance, operating vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, leaving the scene of a crash, and resisting arrest.
