Cleveland Police were called to an apartment at 7517 Euclid Avenue around 8 p.m. Friday night after a woman called the building employee saying, "He stabbed me."
When officers arrived, they located the victim and a blood train from the victim's apartment to the suspect's apartment.
The suspect was not in his apartment, so officers reviewed surveillance video and observed him entering a second floor apartment. The suspect, a 30-year-old male was inside the bathroom.
The victim, 60-year-old Celeste Dicillo, was transported to MetroHealth Medical Center to be treated for her injuries. She was unable to speak with officers.
The suspect was placed under arrest and a search of the male revealed that he was in possession of a glass crack pipe and that there was blood on his jeans. After further investigation officers located a shirt, shoes and a knife, all with blood on them in the building's trash chute.
