
A state investigation into five Leland Police Officers has been resolved, according to SBI spokeswoman Noelle Talley.BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A state investigation into four Leland Police Officers has been resolved, according to SBI spokeswoman Noelle Talley.
Leland Deputy Chief Karl Smith, Lt. Bill Kozak, Lt. Rick Dellapia, and Officer Michael Landen were suspended in April 2012. According to Talley their law enforcement certifications have now been revoked.
Talley said no other details about the investigation could be released.
Last year, the town fired police chief Tim Jayne during what they called a reorganization of the town. Chief Mike James was named the permanent chief in November 2012.
