BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office has identified a man shot in the hip during an altercation in Navassa Thursday evening.
According to Capt. Highsmith, Kenneth Darnell Moore, 30, was shot on Plum Street.
They are still investigating a motive for the shooting.
Highsmith says Moore was attending some kind of gathering on Plum St. when an altercation broke out and an unidentified person shot him.
Moore's injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
