proposal for a kayak launch
in Wrightsville Beach.
Town
leaders are proposing to build it on Pelican Dr. near Channel Walk Condos.
Those
who live in the nearby neighborhood are circulating a petition to try to block
the plan. They say kayakers
would increase current problems in the community in regards to parking and
trespassing, but kayakers say it would make the sport safer.
Wrightsville Beach alderman would have to approve the plan.
