WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Two unique shows are performing at Thalian Hall in downtown Wilmington.
The first is on the mainstage. It's Opera House Theater Company's production of She Loves Me. The story line is similar to the movie You've Got Mail with Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.
Two co-workers at a perfume shop in 1940's Budapest don't get along, and they're unaware they are each other's pen pal through a lonely hearts club. Eventually the truth is revealed and love blooms.
The music is written by the same duo who brought us Fiddler on the Roof.
Upstairs in the studio theater, Journey Productions presents Fraktured Faery Tales for a Mid-winter's Eve III.
This is the third in a series of shows that put a spin on some favorite stories like The Princess and the Pea, Little Red Riding Hood, Sleeping Beauty and The Three Billy Goats Gruff.
The family-friendly production even incorporates contemporary music from the Black Eyed Peas and Katy Perry.
