The University of North Carolina Wilmington released a statement Monday saying Francis Houts was injured while leaving the coliseum after a men's basketball game.
The entire statement reads:
Chancellor Miller, Athletic Director Jimmy Bass and the entire UNCW family join the community in mourning Mr. Francis Houts, who on Sunday evening succumbed to injuries sustained in an accidental fall while exiting Trask Coliseum on the evening of Saturday, February 23, after a men's basketball game. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as they deal with this tragic loss.
