Keeper Troy Hernandez has re-signed with the Wilmington Hammerheads for the 2013 season.
Hernandez was key in Wilmington's run to the 2012 USL Pro Championship game. The 25-year old earned his first playing time in the Hammerheads 3-2 quarterfinal win over Richmond. He then earned the start in the semifinal win over Orlando City advancing Wilmington to its third National Championship game.
With Alex Horwath signing with Tampa Bay, Hernandez will enter camp as the number one keeper on the depth chart.
