Police are looking for the public's help in locating a vehicle and a suspect wanted in connection with a fatal hit-skip incident on Sunday, February 10, 2013.
Emily Krejci is mourning the loss of her uncle Gregory Cantwell. The 50 year-old father of two was found unresponsive on the east sidewalk of Broadview Road and later died from his injuries.
Investigators believe the victim was struck while crossing Broadview Rd. north of Schaaf Road between 12:45am and 1:10am.
Cantwell was a maintenance worker who was living nearby. His niece says he loved to play the guitar for family members and now she's pleading for the person responsible to come forward.
"If they're scared, we don't want revenge on someone. We just want to know what happened. We don't want revenge. Just don't be scared. Come forward and say what happened," said Krejci.
The suspect vehicle is believed to have continued northbound on Broadview Road after fleeing the scene of the accident.
No witnesses have come forward and there is no suspect or suspect vehicle information.
"Someone knows. Someone's car is obviously damaged. Maybe a neighbor or a family member knows something or maybe they talked about it. They accidentally hit someone or they're scared," says Krejci.
