CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
Cleveland Police are investigating an accident involving a car that crashed head-on into a semi. The accident happened around 3:11 a.m. on I-71 just south of the W. 150th exit.
Police say the driver of the car, Javear Velazco, 34 was driving the wrong way on the highway when the crash happened.
Velazco, who was found to be under the influence, was arrested for OVI and is currently in jail awaiting charges.
EMS transported Velazco to MetroHealth Medical Center after the accident, but he refused treatment.
This investigation is being handled by the Cleveland Division of Police Accident Investigation Unit.
