WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Officers with the Wilmington Police Department are investigating an armed robbery inside the McDonald's off Shipyard Blvd. and South College Road.
According to police, the robbery happened around 10:50 Sunday night.
Police said a person was robbed inside the restaurant and the business itself was not robbed. There is no suspect in custody right now, but officials are currently going after a couple of leads.
The suspect got away with some of the victim's personal items, but a value of the items is not known at this time.
Officers said the robbery was random and the victim did not know the suspect.
