BURGAW, NC (WECT) - Fire officials, including Pender County fire marshals and the SBI, are investigating what they call a suspicious house fire in Burgaw.
Three fire departments responded to the fire at a home in the 1200 block of Old Savannah Road South, according to Pender County dispatch. The call came in around 2:35 Wednesday morning.
According to Tommy Batson, Pender County Deputy Fire Marshal, the house was engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived on the scene.
