BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - A trooper's vehicle slid into a ditch Tuesday morning because of the wet roads, according to Sgt. Matt Harde from Highway Patrol.
Harde said Trooper K.E. Whitfield was on his way to the overturned log truck accident in Winnabow when he made a sharp turn on Ocean Isle Beach Road.
The vehicle crossed the white line on the side of the road and slid into a ditch.
Whitfield was not injured in the accident and damage to the car was minor.
