MOUNT JULIET, TN (WSMV) -
School resource officers say they found a gun in a student's locker Monday at West Wilson Middle School after the teen told a friend about it.
The Wilson County sheriff said the small-caliber handgun was found with ammunition, marijuana and tobacco in the student's locker at the Mt. Juliet school.
The 14-year-old will not be allowed to return to the school and has been taken into custody on charges of possession of a firearm and possession of marijuana on school property.
