WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Crews are expected to finish repaving Surry Street between Castle and Queen Streets in Wilmington as part of the city's ongoing five-year infrastructure improvement plan.
Drivers should be advised traffic on Surry Street will be reduced to one lane while work is underway.
According to the City of Wilmington, staff members are working with the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority to coordinate needed water/sewer projects as they finalize a list of street repaving projects for the five-year plan.
The City is working with other agencies in an effort to avoid duplicate street closures or unnecessary costs.
