Local artisans set up shop on Water StreetWILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Local artists set up shop on Water Street in Downtown Wilmington for the Artisan Fair on Sunday afternoon.
Everything from jewelry, to chocolates, to stain glass creations were for sale. Vendors said it was great to be able to be a part of the community, and to talk with customers as they sampled their goodies.
"It really gives local people like me a chance to participate in the community," said Tara Capps, of Dee Dee Delights. "Get our products out there and tell people about the local things being made all around them."
All of the proceeds from the vendor fees went towards the Cape Fear River Watch. The organization works to protect the Cape Fear River. For more information, visit: www.capefearriverwatch.org.
