The environmental group is pushing to bring more film business to Southport. They say Safe Haven brought in almost 16 million dollars to the town, and they want more films to do the same.
That's why they're asking everyone to express their support for film guidelines instead of a film ordinance, they argue the guidelines are less rigid and more attractive to other projects.
The decision will be discussed at Southport's Board of Aldermen meeting next week.
