Accident in Pender County Friday. (Source: Christopher Powers)PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A tractor trailer crash at the intersection of Hwy. 421 and Hwy. 11/53 tied up traffic in that area Friday.
According to Tom Collins, Emergency Management Director for Pender County, one tractor trailer carrying yard was headed south on Hwy. 421, when another tractor trailer on 11/53 that was carrying trusses pulled out in front of it where the highways meet.
They collided, causing the vehicle carrying yard to turn over. The driver inside that tractor trailer suffered minor injuries.
Very little fuel spilled.
