WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Leaders from the state's film office are calling their trip to Los Angeles a success.
Earlier this week, our Ashlea Kosikowski caught up with Mayor Bill Saffo and Johnny Griffin from the Wilmington Regional Film Commission while they were in Hollywood to meet with studio heads, in an effort to attract more movies to our region.
The NC Film Office and regional film commissioners from across the state hosted a reception for 200 executives in Beverly Hills Wednesday night.
Aaron Syrett, who heads the NC Film Office, tells us the reception went well.
"It was a great event to reconnect with our clients and thank them for a record breaking year, as well as introduce North Carolina to those who may have not yet had the privilege to shoot in North Carolina," he said.
