Jablonski Moore and Tee'ah Smith
WHITEVILLE, NC (WECT) - Jablonski Moore and Tee'ah Smith were arrested Wednesday in the 100 block of Covey Quail Lane, in Whiteville, after authorities found 14 marijuana plants and a growing operation, according to Whiteville Police.
An apartment manager was walking around the complex when he spotted the plants outside. The manager then called police and they followed up.
Authorities found 14 plants and a complete growing operation inside. A baby's crib was only feet away from the grow room.
Moore had lights, books and fertilizer, from Australia, to help with the operation.
They're being held on a $4,000 bond. Detective Mike Strickland said they're bond was lowered because of the couple's cooperation and honesty.
Although it was Moore's operation, Smith's name is on the lease.
Both were charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, using a dwelling to house a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
