BURGAW, NC (WECT) - A pickup truck crashed into a power line pole on Shaw Highway near NC 210 in Burgaw early Wednesday morning and caused some power outages in the area.
The driver of the truck was not seriously injured, but crews shut down part of the highway for clean up and power line replacement.
According to Highway Patrol, the driver was falling asleep at the wheel which caused her to swerve and hit the power line pole.
The road is back open and the power around the area is restored.
