
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Wilmington City Council approved spending more than $300,000 on a mobile field force, according to Chief Ralph Evangelous.
Twelve officers, half in uniform and half in plain clothes, will be working in areas of the city where police presence is needed most.
The $300,000 will fund the force for the rest of the fiscal year.
