BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Officials with the State Highway Patrol have released the name of the man killed in an accident involving a moped and a tractor trailer late Monday night.
According to Sgt. Parks, Mark Mooring, 38 of Wilmington, was wearing a helmet while riding along Highway 74/76 Monday night, but it was not an approved DOT helmet.
The accident happened ¾ of a mile west of the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge.
According to Trooper Thompson, officials are looking for the person who was driving the tractor trailer that was involved in the fatal accident.
