
David Crummy will spend 15 years in prison for distributing crack cocaine like the drug shown in the picture.WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A man has been sentenced for supplying crack cocaine in the Wilmington area.
David Crummy, 50, will spend 15 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release.
In February of 2012, Crummy pled guilty to conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute and distributing more than 280 grams of cocaine base (crack).
On June 30, 2011, New Hanover County sheriff's deputies searched a home and found about 250 grams of crack cocaine. Crummy and several other people had been converting the cocaine into crack cocaine at the time of the search warrant.
During the investigation, detectives uncovered that Crummy distributed more than 4 kilograms of cocaine base from January 2010 until his arrest.
