Stunt crews preparing for 'Iron Man 3' filming.WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Marvel Productions' Iron Man 3 trailer played during primetime at Super Bowl 47.
The scene showcased in the trailer appeared to be that of one filmed over the Cape Fear River in July.
At that time, thousands of people watched the WECT Battleship Camera to catch a glimpse of the filming. Screams were audible as dozens of people connected by cables went tumbling towards the Cape Fear River below.
Crews filmed in front of PPD for several days working on the scene. Film permits said the scenes involved three lead actors and 60 extras.
