WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) A Dense Fog Advisory will be in place until 9:00 am causing headaches for morning commuters across southeastern North Carolina.
Low level moisture, warm air, and calm conditions are helping to keep visibility low across the region this morning. Wilmington's airport has been reporting periods of time with less than a quarter mile of visibility. It's important to exercise extreme caution for the morning commute.
The advisory will likely lift during the mid morning with mostly sunny and nice conditions prevailing. Look for highs in the upper 60s for most of the region today.
Wednesday will be warm as well with highs in the mid 70s, before a potent line of thunderstorms overruns the area overnight into Thursday morning.
