Tom BradshawWILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The interim head of the N.C. State Ports Authority is no longer at the helm. Tom Bradshaw is out as executive director.
Bradshaw left January 25, almost a year to the date he took the job. At that time, the former mayor of Raleigh said he would only hold the position for a year.
Former state representative Danny McComas, who now chairs the Port Authority's board of directors told WECT Monday night that he was not informed of Bradshaw's departure.
"I did not know about it. It caught me totally by surprise," McComas said.
Bradshaw, who also served as state transportation secretary from 1977-1981, managed operations at the N.C. State Ports Authority and the N.C. Global TransPark.
