BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A grand jury has indicted a number of people charged in two high profile cases in Brunswick County.
According to court officials, Boyd Harrelson and his son Ryan were indicted for second degree murder on Monday.
According to the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to respond to a fight involving baseball bats on Farm Meadows Road on January 1. When they arrived, they found Sellers lying unresponsive in a driveway of a home.
Sellers was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
Boyd received indictments for second degree murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. Ryan was indicted for second degree murder.
Detectives say Nicholas Smith and William Connelly are also suspects in this case but were not indicted.
A grand jury also indicted some people charged in connection to a robbery at a sweepstakes café.
It happened at Winner's World in Calabash. According to detectives, two robbers shot through the front doors of the business. Five people were arrested and charged with the robbery.
A grand jury indicted James Allison for robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit a robbery.
Xavier Jenrette was also indicted for conspiracy to robbery with a dangerous weapon. WECT.com first told you last week that prosecutors dismissed Jenrette's charges. Detectives plan to arrest him again.
When deputies arrived at Winner's World, they found one man dead inside. So far, no arrests have been made in connection to his death.
