SURF CITY, NC (WECT) - Overnight construction on the Swing
Bridge could affect your commute this week.
The North Carolina DOT is shutting down one lane on the
Swing Bridge, starting Monday, Jan. 28 through Tuesday, Jan. 29 from
9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m each day.
In addition to the lane closure on Tuesday, Jan. 29,
the bridge will close in 30 minute intervals throughout the evening and will
re-open Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 5:30 a.m.
This closure is necessary so crews can perform routine
bridge maintenance.
