WILMINGTON, NC (WECT/AP) – Just a reminder…a couple of blocks of Wilmington's downtown waterfront will be closed for filming of the NBC's television series Revolution.

A block of Water Street was closed between Dock and Orange streets from 8 a.m. Monday until noon Wednesday.

Orange Street between Front and Water streets will have intermittent traffic control closures, instead of a full closure to keep traffic flowing in the area as much as possible.

According to permits, crews are using the area to film a scene featuring livestock and an outdoor market.

The film permit says motorists or pedestrians will still have access to any private residences or businesses in the area and Wilmington police officers will be on hand to ensure traffic flows in the area.

According to NBC, Revolution takes 15 years in the future and shows the aftermath of a global blackout where the entire world lost power. The show will return March 25 and airs Mondays at 10/9c.
