NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Investigators have determined a fire at the Lowes Foods store in the 2300 block of North College Road was intentionally set.

It appeared some pallets caught fire on the east side of the building last week, but there was no damage to the store.

According to New Hanover County Deputy Fire Marshal Tom Sosebee, CSI took samples from the scene. He said some people were inside the building when the fire started, but no one was hurt by the burning pallets.

Detectives will continue to investigate.
