WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Some warmer weather moves in as southerly winds return to eastern North Carolina. High temperatures Monday should run a couple of degrees above normal, peaking around 60 degrees in the afternoon. Look for a spot morning shower and mostly cloudy conditions later Monday.
Monday night into Tuesday morning, fog may develop across the region. The Tuesday commute could be made a little slower by the added low level moisture, but temperatures during the afternoon jump another ten degrees to near 70.
Wednesday, we will be monitoring the progression of a strong cold front out of the west. The Storm Prediction Center has us under the slight chance for severe weather as we head into Wednesday night.
Cooler temperatures are expected by this weekend.
