Anchor Michelle Li wins regional Emmy for interactivity

NASHVILLE, TN (WECT) – WECT and Fox Wilmington's Michelle Li won a regional Emmy award Saturday.

Li's efforts to be interactive with viewers online received a regional Emmy by the Mid-South chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.  This is Li's second individual Emmy win.

Li was the only individual nominated in the category.  She was up against TV stations WRAL in Raleigh, WKRN in Nashville and Fox Sports South.  

The ceremony took place in Nashville, Tennessee.  The broadcast aired on UNC-TV.
