WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - One community in Wilmington is getting a new park.
The owner of the property on the corner of Hinton Ave. and Mariner Ln. passed away and donated his land to the city for a park.
The city heard from Seagate neighbors Thursday about what they would like to see at the one-acre site.
Travis Adams is heading up the project. He says a park will bring neighbors together.
"I think it can be a family-oriented park," Adams said. "It can bring that community together because you have citizens that live within that area. They have a place to go."
Planners will hold another meeting soon to talk about what the park could look like.
If you were unable to attend Thursday's meeting, there is an online survey where you can submit your opinions. Just click here.
