CHADBOURN, NC (WECT) - A high number of dogs roaming around town has leaders in Chadbourn double checking their agenda.
Council member Edwin Roberts says that people were warned to look out for stray dogs during an MLK march earlier this week.
Roberts says that he asked to put animal control issues on next month's agenda.
"I know one incident months ago, where a woman doing her morning walk was approached by a dog," said Roberts. "She was upset and called 911 or the police."
Chadbourn currently has a leash law and town officials say they have ordered more dog traps.
