
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A thief left behind a note apologizing for leaving a mess after stealing several items from a youth athletic training center in Cumberland County.
According to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office, someone broke in through the back door of 360 Elite Baseball Academy Wednesday night of last week.
Authorities say a number of televisions, a computer, baseball uniforms, batting gloves and titanium sports team necklaces were taken.
Let behind was a note from the thief that read:
"Sorry about the mess and the drywall damage, I think what you are doing here is a good thing."
Detectives are searching for the person or persons who were involved with the break-in at the training facility. Anyone with information is asked to call the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office at (910) 323-1500.
