Authorities continue search for man in connection to bank robbery

BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Authorities in Bladen County are still searching for a man in connection to a robber at First Citizen's Bank that happened Friday morning.

Officials have an outstanding warrant for Aaron Montrese McDowell, 27, of White Oak, according to Chief Kinlaw with the Elizabethtown Police Department.

Authorities arrived at McDowell's last known address Friday to execute a search warrant, but he wasn't there.

According to Chief Kinlaw, the suspect walked in to the bank around 9:23, presenter a teller with a note, displayed a handgun and told her that he wanted all of the money.

The teller complied, and the suspect proceeded to put the money in a duffle bag.

Anyone with information regarding McDowell's whereabouts is asked to contact authorities.
