
SOURCE: OHIO HIGHWAY PATROLA Pennsylvania man is facing felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized an ounce of crack cocaine packaged for resale, four grams of heroin, a syringe and a Suboxone packet, worth a total of $5,000 during a traffic stop in Ottawa County.
Troopers stopped a rented 2012 Chevy Impala, with Texas registration, for an improper lane change violation on the Ohio Turnpike just before 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Criminal indicators were observed and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed the contraband.
Matthew Russick, 28, of New Castle, Pennsylvania, was incarcerated in the Ottawa County Jail and charged with two-counts of aggravated drug trafficking, one a first-degree felony and the other a fourth-degree felony; possession of crack cocaine, a first-degree felony; and possession of heroin, a fourth-degree felony.
If convicted, he could face up to 21-and-a half years in prison and up to a $45,000 fine.
