According to the West Bladen high school website, Russell Dove has been named as the new varsity football coach.
Dove was approved at the Bladen County School Board meeting on January 14th.
"Coach Dove is a master in the weight room and is always looking for ways to improve our teams' performance. I am excited for an awesome 2013 football season from our Knights under their new head coach." said West Bladen Principal Toni Warrick
Dove was an assistant coach under Joe Salas who stepped down after one season to take over as head coach at Lumberton.
The Knights finished the 2012 season 0-11.
