Reeves coaches Raycom College Football All-Star Classic

MONTGOMERY, AL (WALB) -

Former Atlanta Falcons head coach, and Sumter County native Dan Reeves is roaming the sidelines once again. With the college football season over, seniors are now looking towards the NFL draft.

One way to get noticed is in all-star games and the first ever Raycom College Football All Star classic is designed to give some of the overlooked players a chance to show they can play on Sunday.

The rosters for the Stars and Stripes squads have many SEC players like Georgia linebackers Michael Gilliard and Christian Robinson and Auburn's Darren Bates.

The teams also have Division II players like Valdosta State offensive linemen Ryan Schraeder and Edmund Kugbila and Georgia head coach Mark Richt's son Jon who played at Mars Hill College.

Former Falcons coach Reeves is the head coach of the Stripes all-star team. The longtime NFL head coach is having fun working with these players hungry for a shot to play at the next level.

"Their attitude is tremendous and they are so excited about playing in the game. You are certainly going to have some missed assignments. I told the guys we will except an error here or there. If you repeat it, it becomes a mistake and we can't afford mistakes," said coach Dan Reeves.

The first Raycom College Football All-Star Classic begins at 3:00 p.m. Saturday and can be watched on the CBS Sports Cable Network.
