HAMPSTEAD, NC (WECT) - Topsail high school announced on Wednesday that Amber Passwaters and Colonel William Blaha will take over as co-head coaches of the softball program.
Blaha was formerly an assistant with the Pirates who finished the 2012 season with a 26-1 overall record. The Lady Pirates climbed as high as No. 6 in the country, according to maxpreps.com's national rankings.
The coaches, who will be the third for the program in the last three seasons, replace Jeff Gainey who stepped down after one season at Topsail.
