Ward resigns at Worth County

SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

For the sixth time since 2000, Worth County High School will have a new head football coach this coming season.

 

Rams head football coach Scotty Ward resigned under pressure on Friday afternoon.

Ward led Worth County to the state playoffs in each of his four seasons.

His overall record was 20-24.

Scotty Ward has been coaching various sports at Worth County for the last 11 years.

Ward was returning from north Georgia on Monday afternoon.

No word on when the search for a new head coach at Worth County High will begin.
