WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Monday morning.
According to officials, one person was taken to the hospital, but the victim's condition is unknown at this time.
Crews with the Wilmington Fire Department and EMS responded to the accident.
The south bound lane of Carolina Beach Road was shut down at the intersection of Arch Mill Way to clear the area, but has since reopened.
Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
