WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Another mild day to start your weekend, but watch out for patchy fog that may linger into the late morning hours.
With high pressure off-shore, winds will continue out of the south, southwest today. Expect mostly cloudy skies as moisture continues to stream into the area. Highs will climb into the low 70s, but communities near the shore should reach the upper 60s.
Patchy fog will develop, mainly after midnight. Lows will fall into the mid 50s, which is near our normal high. Mostly cloudy skies are expected tonight.
Sunday seems to be the warmer day of the two. Highs will climb into the mid 70s and near 70 near for our coastal communities. Cloud cover will decrease a bit Sunday as well, so partly cloudy skies are expected.
A cold front to our west will move into the area late Monday into the early morning hours Tuesday. For now, expect a 40% chance of rain Tuesday and a 30% chance Wednesday. An isolated Thunderstorm is possible.
